Associate Intern (Need-Based) (Multiple Positions)

Minimum Requirements

• A Diploma/Bachelor's degree (completed/post-graduation or ongoing in final year) in any of the following fields:
  • Accounting
  • Marketing
  • Economics
  • Business Administration
  • finance or any other business-related field

• Responsibilities:

  The internship will involve conducting fieldwork in the following regions:

  • Mountain Region: Kiambu, Kirinyaga, Nyahururu, Limuru, Meru and sorrounding areas
  • Lake Region: Nyanza, Busia, Bungoma, Kakamega, Kisumu, Kisii and sorrounding areas
  • Rift Valley Region: Nakuru, Naivasha, Narok and sorrounding areas
  • Coastal Region: Mombasa, Malindi, Watamu and sorrounding areas
  • Nairobi Region:Nairobi, Thika and sorrounding areas

  Below are some of the responsibilities that will be undertaken during the part-time internship

  • Verification of stock balances and tracking movement of merchandise.
  • Review of financial documents.
  • Conduct visits to business premises.
  • Confirm receipt of merchandise by consumers.
  • Reporting back findings.
  • Any other activities as required.
• Previous working experience is an added advantage, however, no prior experience is required.
• Proficiency in speaking and writing in English and Kiswahili. Any level of proficiency in native languages is an added advantage.
• Proficiency in using a computer and essential software such as Microsoft Office Software, i.e. MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Well-founded knowledge of financial processes.
